Trust

Last night I dreamt about scaffolding. For some reason when I woke up this morning I felt really really good - there was real warmth in my stomach, an inner smile, and I didn’t know why at first, until I remembered the dream. It was one of those that happen just before waking and all I saw at first was the wooden walkway of neatly laid planks, high above the pavement below. Then images gradually swam into my head from the dream and I began to remember. I was on the scaffold with a very trusted companion who was explaining to me how the scaffold was constructed and how the planks were laid; and when I looked closer I saw to my surprise that the long planks were laid not side by side with the ends all lined up as you would expect, but that they were set out in a much more complex manner. My companion explained that the planks were laid in this manner to form a much stronger floor, and how the scaffold had to be infinitely more secure than the pavement below because of its height and the danger involved in walking along it, and I looked down and saw it was true - this scaffold was very, very safe, whereas the ground far beneath us, glimpsed through the network of metal and wood, was full of pitfalls and previously unseen dangers. I felt safe and loved and extremely privileged to be guided along this aerial passage.

Do dreams help to reveal to us aspects of life which the minutiae of daily existence conceal? I think they possibly do, and thank goodness for them - it is impossible at times to make sense in any real way otherwise of underlying threads in our days, tangled as they are around the maelstrom of events and emotions that cloud the truth. The beauty of the sleeping mind patiently sorts through the detritus of every single day and dreams nudge us into consciousness of hidden patterns, which if decoded correctly can help us navigate through life.

I took the photographs of scaffold poles and bolts published here a few months ago, right at the outset of the journey through life which I have been travelling since. It was on a day when a future had begun to unfold which seemed so dizzying at the time I had no idea if it was going to be possible to get through it all. I was with that companion from the dream and we stopped and looked at the dismantled scaffolding laid out before us in the sun with interest, and took the photos before we moved on, talking about something completely different. I remember there being hope amongst the fear and mess and trepidation.

A lot, a real lot, has happened since that day.

Yesterday was a very constructive day mentally. I hadn’t really realised it at first, but there was an awareness of something settling, of tuning in and moving at a new pace alongside events with real facts instead of just a mesh of emotions. I guess my sleeping brain did a lot of work in the night and showed it all to me at the end of its shift, just as I was waking in the morning, using the scaffold to show me something has already been built that is very good indeed.

Oh I love dreams. The way our subconscious guides us, or comforts us, or nudges us or warns us. What a fabulous dream you had....I love that idea of being safe up there, above the dross of the everyday dangers.... So relieved you have some safe scaffolding, dear Lixtroll. Pack your sandwiches, put on your tin hat and perch up there to review the world.....
tons of love

Came back to look at this again as we now have real-life scaffolding up and it made me think. Scaffolding is what we need to make our home secure and safe and fit and well (and houses in dreams are nearly always our selves). I love that your scaffolding is doubly secure as it is put together so thoughtfully and carefully. Underneath the scaffolding on our house, all manner of work is being done, things are being sorted and fixed and healed. One day, hopefully soon, the scaffolding will be peeled away and all will be made clear..... Hope it was like that for you too.

Wonderful, absolutely wonderful. Scaffolding scares the life out of me so it was good to read something from a different angle....

If you have been studying up on Thoi trang nam, then you could have a good understanding of what is out there on the web. The thing about so much of this is there are conditions that will have an influence on what you can expect to use. The thing about it is that you have to think about associated topics that may have a direct bearing on you. The maddening aspect about it is you could find out you have to perform even more research. To be sure, even the best online experts sometimes get stumped when searching for special kinds of information. You can feel free to add the following info about this topic into your research studies.

The relative difficulties of women's and men's fashion

Both women and men can have the pressures of maintaining their clothing up-to-date and in season, yet men's style frequently seems a lot less difficult. Of course, for both sexes, outfits and fashion options could be equally as complex, and there are lots of'trendy'things that can rapidly become fashion faux pas - who are able to say they often times see people travelling in 70s flames? On the other side, men's style includes a few staple goods that can exist eternally - which man is planning to keep an eye out of position with a good-quality, tailored suit, for example? Pick classic pieces, colours and materials and you'll never look out-of-place.

Why basic men's style is timeless

The common man's suit has scarcely changed for over a hundred years. True, there are many kinds for various situations, however they are all popular in their search for a wise, sharp try to find the wearer. The best part about common fashion for men is that it is effectively trendy effortlessly neat. A well-groomed man can more often than not look his sharpest in a well-tailored suit, and this is a testament to the design of such clothing. A suit will be worn to work in many jobs due to the professional search it offers to the wearer, instilling a feeling of respect and trust. Similarly a suit will undoubtedly be used to several social situations, such as a tuxedo to a black-tie affair. This incredible flexibility that enables suits to be worn in just about all occasions is what gives it its amazing side and a permanent place in men's fashion.

Contemporary developments in classic men's style

Whilst classic men's designs will never be changed, it's interesting to remember that changes in men's fashion trends have brought certain common clothes back to fashion. The reputation of vintage clothing, specially, has brought back a wide-variety of common styles into men's wardrobes, such as that of the dandy gentleman. 'Dandy'is a term used to refer to men who dress in a classic yet expensive way, acting in a polished method and placing importance on appearance. This development for almost'over-the-top'common style for men is apparent from events such as the'Tweed Run', wherever men and women of all ages dress yourself in obviously Victorian-style attire and decide to try the roads on vintage bikes - with lots of the men wearing remarkable mustaches! This is just one of several samples of research showing the resurrection of such types. There are also numerous blogs online which focus on gentlemanly style - such as'The Dandy Project'and'Dandyism'- as well as complete web sites such as'The Art of Manliness'specialized in providing articles on classic men's fashion and grooming.

In conclusion, though certain issues with classic men's style can be brought back as new developments, the basic clothes that they are based on will never fall out of fashion.

"All it takes are a few simple outfits. And there's one secret - the simpler the better." - Cary Grant
