Well it has been quite a time since I managed a blog, feels like ages and ages, but I am still here I promise! Things are slowly returning to an even keel following a rather tumultuous train of events of death and work and some of the best parts of life all mixed up together. The sad passing of Peat’s mum after a long and awful illness involved days on end of long drives to the hospital in Stirling and back, finally leading to a few days in London for the burial. Her body was flown to London to be laid at rest next to Peat’s dad in Willesden cemetery and we followed on. We stayed with our dear old friend Tish, who made everything so easy for us and went to every effort to ensure our comfort that things went off very smoothly.
Our thanks go out wholeheartedly to everyone who sent their best wishes and condolences, you were all absolutely wonderful and it really did help to know that we were surrounded with such care and support.
It won’t be long now until I can get back to posting my blogs and pictures – although there hasn’t been much chance to get any painting done except for the walls in the spare room in readiness for the arrival of lots of family and friends – which leads me onto the best things in life . . .

Hello Dear Lixtroll, so good to have you back with us again. My Mother was buried in Willesden Cemetrey too, in October 1977, the Silver Jubilee Year. I still miss her even today. Please give my best wishes to Peat, losing a loved member of the family is so hard to bare, my thoughts are with you.

You certainly had a difficult time for a while. It's good to know that things are returning to normal - I think that things like room painting are therapeutic, sort of like weeding.
Hellloooooo - when you are ready . . Witch pokesTroll with a stick to see if she is ready yet . .
Hello from me too - I just dropped in to see if anything was happening. Best wishes whatever you are doing.
Saw you were with us tonight.....we do miss you, Lixtroll
Have missed your blogs so much....so very very glad you're going to be back to sharing your art and poetry and thoughts with us. Hard times - and it's going to take a while I suspect.....in this country we seem to have a nasty habit of shoving death under the carpet, pushing it aside....pretending it doesn't change things. But of course it does. Impossible not to be changed when death touches so closely... As an artist though I think you may be able to tranmogrify it in some wonderful way.
Lots of love
