Mad Smithy has been here too

Two or even three days ago now I brought home this beautiful pebble, and I was going to write a blog about it - but Mad Smithy wandered over from Tumbling's place, leaving him to blog in peace, and stole my pebble! I was going to do a painting and everything inspired by this beautiful stone borrowed from a nearby waterfall , but it completely vanished within an hour of bringing it home. I have become quite distracted looking for it since and have got nothing done. So here is a blog about the stolen pebble, and no painting either.
Tom Redwing was right.

Just being catching up on your lovely beautiful ultra-creative blog. Having had two labs and two Newfies in my time (but not all at once) there isn't a thing I don't know about dogs and mud except that its a lot better than dogs and dung.

What, if you don't mind me asking, is a Lixtroll? Is it a troll that eats salmon? (Lax, Leix etc as in Gravalax)?

Lix, in this neck of the woods, means 'place of stones', or a clearing laid with flag-stones - all these stones, and it's a bit ironic that I have lost my pebble not to mention my marbles!
Troll is a pun on a local landmark, can't say more or you'll all know where to find me . . .

That mad smithy !! - he's getting about a bit! He was here and stole the front door right away today!

No wonder he came over to you with no door to keep him in place!

Sorry to hear you lost your pebble - a pebble is a fine thing with such depth and beauty i find.

Thanks for the lovely welcome.....

Hi Matron - I am just getting caught up on your blogs. You don't look at all as I'd imagined - another shattered preconception!
Loved the field of ferns - I have one too! Do you eat fiddleheads?
Did the bedspread come clean?

It will turn up if it is meant to - you know that - best way to find it is STOP looking for it and paint!
